Before: the aim was to remove the foreground person and fill the area with surrounding sand.

What this test tells us

The result returned.
The edit goal was not met.

What actually changed
The foreground person became smaller. Nearby sand and vegetation also changed. The result did not pass the person-removal acceptance check.
What was verified
The result was written to a new layer, with the original preserved. In this exported image, pixels outside the selection matched the original exactly. This verifies only this test's selection and write-back behavior, not every scenario.
What to watch for
Person removal, complex backgrounds and edge blending still need improvement. Keep the original and check people, textures and seams in each result. Do not deliver an unsatisfactory result without review.

Original photo: Timothy Kolczak / tkolczak33, Wikimedia Commons, marked CC0 1.0 on the source page. The test used a resized copy. The output was generated from that copy and written back to the image.

Both displayed images are the test files saved at the time, with no extra retouching for this page. This is a development test record; the photographer and subjects do not endorse or partner with the product.
